My small studio, set at the edge of the woods, is an inspiring place to work. My pottery, like my surroundings, is functional and comfortable.
While I’d worked with clay as a teenager, there was a many-year gap before I returned to clay; we built my studio shortly after moving to Athens, Ohio in 2012. I’m newly retired - first from a career in classical music where I played and taught viola, and secondly as an Instructional Designer and User Experience Designer. I consider work in both fields to be user focused and strive to bring that awareness to my work as a potter.
Bring warmth, color and a bit of happiness to the table - with hand thrown pieces from Sledding Hill Pottery.
If you're interested to purchasing my work, please feel free to email me.
I'm at the Athens Farmer's Market most Saturday mornings. You can also purchase my work at the Southeast Ohio History Center gift shop, Dairy Barn Arts Center, Bella Vino, Starbrick Gallery in Nelsonville and other local shops.
You can also find me at these December festivals:

Much of my work is inspired by nature, including this bowl.
